Maps & Photos - Dock Replacement
The Treasure Island community dock was approved for
replacement at the 2008 annual membership meeting. With all of the
permits and approvals finally in place, Lakeshore Construction
completed the work in October 2010 (see photos). The first few photos
are of the old dock, including one of it being towed away.
The new float retains the same dimensions, 16 feet x
68 feet, as the old float and is constructed with pressure-treated
wood certified for marine use. To meet requirements for light
penetration, an 8-foot-wide, molded-fiberglass, non-skid grating runs
down the center of the float. The new aluminum gangway ramp is 4 feet
wide and 60 feet long. The floor has a molded-fiberglass, non-skid
grating.

by Dock Commissioner Larry Grumme.
