Maps & Photos - Snagged
There was a definite hazard to navigation stuck in
the channel between the north end and the mainland during June 2006.
The removal process started early in the morning at low tide when a
float was attached to the snag's root end. By high tide the snag had
floated free of the channel bottom and was ready for towing. It took
two small craft at full throttle to bring it in.
The snag was used that year as a 4th of July parade entry (sign reads "The World's
Biggest Stickfish").
