About Treasure Island
Treasure Island is located in Puget Sound's
Case Inlet near Grapeview in Mason County, Washington. A
one-lane
bridge connects the island with the mainland. Treasure Island is open to
members of the Treasure Island Country Club and their guests.
There are roughly
250 building lots on
the 86-acre island. The lots are owned by a mix of year-round and
summer residents, all of whom are members of the Treasure Island
Country Club. The Club owns the island's bridge,
water system, roads,
and dock. The TICC Board manages the
Club's assets for the benefit of all island property owners.
Minutes
of recent board meetings, a
calendar,
the newsletter, and the original Pope & Talbot
marketing brochure are available online. The Club observed its
50th anniversary in 2004.
Getting There
Treasure Island is roughly 35
miles from Tacoma or Olympia. It is about 3 miles south of Allyn.
State maps refer to the island as Reach
Island. However, road signs and local residents call it Treasure
Island.
The Mason County Sheriff provides police
protection for Treasure Island. The main office is at the Court House
in Shelton. There is a substation in Belfair. The Sheriff has a patrol
boat used for enforcement of county boating regulations. In general,
Sheriff's deputies respond quickly when called, but please remember
that Mason County is large and not densely populated.
Island Security
The Treasure Island Country Club provides
Security Officer Rodger Pryor for island surveillance. In addition, he
will perform security checks for individual property owners.
Interested members can contact him at 360-275-2253 (home) or
