On
Monday, February 13th the footings for the east abutment, Pier 1, and
the west abutment, Pier 17, were poured. There were no additional
bridge closures as the pump truck and concrete trucks didn't need to
park on the bridge for these pours. They were staged on the side of
the road at the ends of the bridge. After the footings of the
abutments cure, another set of forms will be assembled on top of the
footing for the concrete abutment wall.
